Coral Springs, FL Home Sitemap Contact Main Website Water Billing Building Contact Search GO Emergency Information Hurricane Dorian COVID-19 VIRUS INFORMATION In the City of Coral Springs, we are One Team, with One Mission , together we can prevent the spread of COVID-19. Broward County will begin to open under Emergency Order 20-10 . Restaurants, professional businesses, personal services and retail will be allowed to re-open under restrictive guidelines. Beaches, commercial gyms, movie theaters, schools and large/sporting events will remain closed. The city’s Emergency Orders may be found under the Emergency Tab below. Residents are encouraged not to let their guard down. The best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to practice proper personal hygiene, remain socially distanced from those outside of your household and wear a face covering. The purpose of the face cover is to protect others, should you be a carrier of the virus. Residents are reminded to: Wear face coverings in public spaces. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public space, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water is not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Do not touch your eyes, nose and mouth. Avoid close contact with people who are sick, even inside your home. Stay at least 6 feet from other people (outside of your household) and avoid gathering in groups. Reminder, the face covering is not a substitute for social distancing. Frequently clean and disinfect hard surfaces. If you are seeking medical attention due to being symptomatic, call the Broward County Hotline at 954-357-9500. If you have a city related question, you may call our call center at 954-344-1001. The call center is open from Monday-Thursday (8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) and Friday (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.) As with any emergency that may affect the public’s health and safety, the City of Coral Springs is taking precautions. Our emergency personnel, who are often in contact with the public – especially the sick and most vulnerable, will be equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), this is to protect them, their colleagues and the residents they are committed to serving. Please do not be alarmed if you spot emergency personnel responding to a medical or police call with PPE, it is not an indication a resident has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
